NJP Internships

Are you interested in hockey? Are you a current junior or sophomore for a NJ high school or college with an ice hockey program or a member of Bantam, Midget, or Junior travel program? Would you like to start building your resume so you can compete in today’s tough job market? If you answered these questions yes, NJPowerRanking is looking for you.

We are currently taking applications for NJP internships. Candidates will be expected to devote 2 or more hours per week from October through March. Basic duties will include timely reporting game scores for all of your schools hockey games, collecting and submitting statistical info and player data, reporting injuries and player movement, as well as write game summaries or team related articles. Player and team profiles will also be coordinated through this role. You will be asked to participate in one or two special projects during your internship period. You will be provided with a list of potential projects to choose from…

If you are interested in a career in journalism, sports journalism, sports management, or just have a passion for hockey, this can be a great opportunity to start accumulating relevant experience and have some fun at the same time.

Successful interns who stay the course will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation (based on their performance). You will also be highlighted in an end of year tribute on the website with photo and school logo. Free membership to the NJP website is also included. Plus you get a NJP T-Shirt and other NJP “stuff” like pens and a NJP logo book bag.

Interested candidates can contact NJP directly at njpowerranking@yahoo.com. Please include your name, school, grade, e-mail and contact info as well as a short statement about yourself and why you think you would benefit from this internship. All applications will be considered. Good luck!
