GNCHC Playoff Schedule and Format Announced
The Great Northeast Collegiate Hockey Conference (GNCHC) announced that the 2011-12 Playoff schedule will be 2/17 thru 2/19 and again at Protec Ponds in Somerset, NJ. The Top two teams from each of the 3 GNCHC divisions are automatic qualifiers. Two additional teams will qualify based on most points. NJP's #2 team Don Bosco heads a 12 team field that will compete for the Bergen County Championship. The tournament kicks off this Thursday January 12th with all games being played at Ice Vault. Don Bosco and St. Joe's Montvale, #3 in the seedings, are the only private schools in the grid. #1 Bosco and #2 Tenafly are both undefeated so far this season. David Bachner Scholarship Fund
For the past two years, the hockey programs of both WWP North and WWP South have come together to raise money for the David Bachner Fund, created to provide underprivileged athletes at the school with college scholarships.
